What type of lift is suitable for a hospital?

Hospital lifts are a different design brief from a standard passenger elevator.

Cabin size comes first

A hospital lift needs to fit a stretcher or bed, with room for accompanying staff — this alone rules out a standard passenger cabin for most hospital applications. See our Hospital Lifts page.

Traffic patterns matter

Hospitals run lifts constantly, often with urgent trips. Door timing, control placement for staff moving equipment, and reliability under heavy daily use are all part of the specification.

Uptime is non-negotiable

Unlike most buildings, a stuck hospital lift can delay patient care. This is the one building type where we always pair installation with an AMC and priority callout support.
